Origination is one of eight organisations that proudly sponsor the Derbyshire Sports Awards, a prestigious event held in Derby each year that acknowledges and rewards sporting excellence in our county. This year Origination created an energetic house style for the event, reflecting the determination of the sports people who were the heroes of the night.

After getting into character and posing for a few piccys we and our visitors enjoyed culinary delights rustled up by the team. Origination goes undercover in the adventures of 'Airport Angels' - Manchester Airports Group's (MAG) Agent Friendly Trade Team. 'Airport Angel's', a fun travel trade brand identity created by Origination, drives an integrated trade campaign across various national and international platforms both on and offline, including: sales incentives schemes, promotional films and high profile trade events. The cunning 'Airport Angels' concept, based on the classic 1970s TV series 'Charlie's Angels', includes MAG's very own three sexy travel trade representatives; Angel Emma, Katie and Jodie all on the mission to raise awareness of MAG's continued support of the travel trade industry. The campaign has been nominated for The 2010 Travel Marketing Awards - an award that recognises marketing excellence at all levels, from rationale and execution through to creativity and results. Origination created the fresh, contemporary concept for Boxall Brown & Jones' 'Great Willow Court' - a stylish development of luxury homes conveniently located a few minutes walk from Derby's new superhospital. A zesty 12 page brochure, stationery and branded inserts for those all important floor plans and elevations were produced by the Origination team, along with ten large scale outdoor hoarding panels - look for the quirky Boxall Brown & Jones birds when you next pass the luxury site on Uttoxeter New Road, Derby.
Origination is delighted to be involved in showcasing the East Midlands as a region of sporting excellence and an inspirational place to visit in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games and beyond. East Midlands Tourism, the tourism arm of East Midlands Development Agency (emda) has joined forces with our region's current and aspiring Olympians and Paralympians to produce a series of contemporary photographic images that successfully combine the region's tourism hot spots and sporting achievements.

Origination have teamed up with Derby County Football Club to develop the matchday media offer at Pride Park Stadium. The aim is to deliver a television show that both entertains as well as informs up to 33,000 fans at each home game. Our role includes the renaming, rebranding and development of the pre and post-match show and graphics, which includes the design and animation of all on-screen creative as well as consultation on the DCTV content. Derby County already has one of the best matchday shows in football, and with more development still to come as the season unfolds, this can only get even better.
Origination have been commissioned to update 2bm's marketing material with a particular focus on e-commerce solutions. In addition Origination are creating a new website with integrated cms system, e-newsletters as well as html Due to our extensive knowledge of their current website and understanding of their business model, it enabled us to take their website from the design stage to live within a few weeks. 2bm have since commissioned Origination to handle all of their pr and marketing including press coverage, advertising and email marketing.
Having worked together with Derbyshire Sport to launch its new brand, we have since been commissioned to move forward the 'Jog Derbyshire' scheme. Jog Derbyshire is a new countywide project which aims to encourage people to become fitter and be more active by jogging on a regular basis with people of similar fitness levels. Our brief was to produce a series of promotional and practical materials to aid the launch and inspire the public to get involved including a logo re-design followed by posters, postcards, t-shirts plus more practical material like log books and membership forms.
Origination were delighted to be present at Pride Park Stadium on Friday 27 February for a sell-out business awards dinner hosted by the hugely entertaining Brian Blessed. Three of Origination's clients were recipients of prestigious awards, including East Midlands Airport for The Environment Award, Derby County in the Community for the Business Commitment to the Community Award and Orchid IT. Orchid, who won the prestigious Business of the Year award, can now add this accolade to their impressive suite of highly creative marketing and sales collateral.
At the 5-Minute-Showreel shindig at QUAD Origination presented their short film - What is creativity. It was described as "brilliant film", "a great adaptation of the spoof educational films 'Look Around You'."
Following on from last season's hugely successful season ticket renewal campaign, Origination are again the preferred partner for Derby County to design, produce and deliver this work for the 2009-10 season. The renewal process, which commences with a direct mail piece to the homes of the current 22,500 season ticket holders, includes the production of various pieces of printed collateral including a personalised letter, application forms, 12 page brochure and envelope. The creative theme will also be rolled out around the internal and external areas of Pride Park Stadium.
Origination have been working alongside adidas to complete a superb refurbishment of Derby County's retail outlet at Pride Park Stadium. Adidas, who also supply playing and training kit to Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United, described shopDCFC as probably their best football store in the UK. In addition to the internal and external graphics at the shop, Origination also devised, created and supplied the graphics for the 'We are Derby' campaign which appears throughout the stadium, the new ticket office branding and also the wayfinding signage and 'legends' images which appear in the Club's hospitality areas.
